A studio painting completed November 2011. Jared was a Artist Intern working at the Paramount in St. Cloud, Mn. Our Friday Artist group was fortunate enough to get him to pose for us and allow a few photos. This was a combination of an oil study and photo's to complete this work of art!

Title "Abbie in Oils" Size and Medium 20x24" in Oils Artist John Fredrick Heckman Price $1,200
Abbie in Oils was completed in two-3 hour life sittings along with photos taken of the model. The 20x24" painting was first sketched out in a Bistre drawing and then completed with a combination of alla-prima painting and glazes.

Cascade originally was completed as a watercolor-pastel study on kitty wallis paper. I liked it so much I decided to do a larger version in oils. The painting location is in the Lake Tahoe region of Nevada.
